Why should you buy an HTH International Student Health Plan?
Here are some reasons you should consider an HTH International Student Health plan:
Reason 1: Medical Expense Coverage
During your international educational experience or exchange program, you may need to see a doctor, have a prescription filled, receive care at a hospital, or deal with an unexpected medical emergency. The Medical Benefits provided under an International Student Health plan can help protect you against these unforeseeable circumstances. In addition, the Global Health and Safety Services that is included provides round-the-clock support that may help you handle an unforeseen emergency.
These plans are available to participants in full-time international education or research, age 64 or younger. A pre-existing condition exclusion applies -- please review the Certificate for detailed benefit information and all relevant exclusions and limitations.
Reason 2: Medical Evacuation and Other Coverages
In addition to Medical Benefits, International Student Health plans provide other valuable benefits, including:
- Medical Evacuation Coverage, to transport you to higher quality medical care in the event of serious illness. Medical evacuations can cost $25,000 or more.
- Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage (not available on all plans).
- Bedside visit coverage. This coverage reimburses the travel expenses (up to a specified limit) incurred by a family member when visiting a hospitalized participant.
Reason 3: HTH's Global Health and Safety Services
In addition to health protection, international students need knowledge and information. When you purchase any of HTH's plans, you gain access to HTH's Global Health and Safety Services.
HTH's powerful Global Health and Safety Services allow you to search HTH's database of independent international physicians, review health and security information about your destination, get health and safety news, and access a range of other health and security databases and services.
